destocking, vbl. n.|diːˈstɒkɪŋ| [f. de- II. 1 + stock v.1 15 + -ing1.] The reduction (by a retailer, etc.) of the quantity of stock held by the re-ordering of fewer goods than are needed to replace those sold.
