1. trans. To insinuate, suggest indirectly.
1640Sir E. Dering Sp. Relig. 23 Nov. 14 Our Innovators by this artifice do alter our setled Doctrines; Nay they do subinduce points repugnant and contrariant.
2. To induce by indirect or underhand means.
