subintrant, a. (n.) Path.|sʌbˈɪntrənt| [ad. L. subintrant-em, pr. pple. of subintrāre to steal into, f. sub- sub- 25 + intrāre to enter. Cf. F. subintrant, It. subentrante.] Of fevers: Having paroxysms so rapidly that before one is over another begins; also said of the paroxysms. b. n. A subintrant fever.
