sulphurize, v.|ˈsʌlfjʊəraɪz| [a. F. sulfuriser (Lavoisier, 1789): see sulphur n. and -ize.] 1. trans. To cause to combine chemically with, or to be impregnated by, sulphur; to convert into a sulphur compound.
