ˈdollar-fish 1. A name given to two kinds of fish, from their round form and silvery colour (in the case of the former, of the young.) a. Vomer setipinnis, called also moonfish. b. Stromateus triacanthus, called also butter- and harvest-fish. 2. An echinoderm of a discoid shape; a cake-urchin or sand-dollar.
