OF. dorelot, dorlot knot of hair on the forehead, ‘a iewell or prettie trinket{ddd}wherewith a woman sets out her apparell, or decks herselfe’ (Cotgr.).] ‘The head-dress of network, sometimes enriched with jewels, worn in the middle ages by ladies.’ Fairholt Costume (1860) 437.
