draba Bot.|ˈdreɪbə| [mod.L. (J. J. Dillenius in Linnæus Systema Naturæ (1735)), ad. Gr. δράβη a kind of cress.] A plant of the genus of herbs so named belonging to the family Cruciferæ, found in temperate and arctic regions, and cultivated as hardy annual, biennial, and perennial alpine plants. (See also whitlow-grass (whitlow b).)
