priorite Min.|ˈpraɪəraɪt| [ad. G. priorit (W. C. Brögger 1906, in Skr. udgivne af Vidensk.-Selsk. i Christiania (Mat.-Nat. Kl.) I. vi. 111), f. the name of G. T. Prior (1862–1936), British mineralogist: see -ite1.] A mixed oxide, chiefly of niobium, titanium, and yttrium, with traces of several other elements, which occurs as black or dark brown orthorhombic crystals.
