Applied to an image that revives an optical impression with hallucinatory clearness, or to the faculty of seeing such images, or to a person having this faculty. Also n., a. one who sees eidetic images; b. pl. (see quot. 1930). Hence eiˈdetically adv., by an eidetic image.
