‖ elatcha Obs. Also alleja(r, alajah, allajar (Yule), alliza, allacha. [a. Turki alchah, alāchah, any kind of corded stuff.] A silk fabric from Turkestan: ‘a silk cloth 5 yards long, which has a sort of wavy line pattern running in the length on one side’ (Baden-Powell, in Yule s.v.
