adessenarian Eccl. Hist.|æˌdɛsɪˈnɛərɪən| [f. med.L. adessenarii (see -an); f. adesse to be present; a ‘name first framed by Prateolus’.] One who held the real presence of Christ's body in the Eucharist, but not by transubstantiation.
