Ravenna|rəˈvɛnə| The name of a town in northern Italy, used absol. or attrib. in Ravenna grass to designate Erianthus ravennæ, a large ornamental grass native to southern Europe and distinguished by greyish leaves and spikes of purplish-grey flowers.
