‖ thermotaxis|θɜːməʊˈtæksɪs| [mod.L., f. thermo- + Gr. τάξις arrangement: see taxis.] 1. Physiol. That function of the nervous system on which the normal temperature of the body depends; the regulation of the bodily heat.
