[f. med.L. extrāvagāt- ppl. stem of extrāvagārī (or extrā vagārī) to wander, stray outside limits, f. extrā outside + vagārī to wander. Cf. Fr. extravaguer.]
To wander; only in fig. sense.
1. intr. To wander away, stray, from, into. Also, † to extravagate it.
