‖ tokay2|ˈtəʊkeɪ| Also tokee, tockay, tookai. [a. Malay tōkē, also written tōkeq, tĕkeq, with final q often silent: see gecko.] A species of Gecko, or lizard of the family Geckonidæ, app. G. verticillatus, of Burma, Thailand, and the Malay region.
