floriˈpondio Also 8 floripendio, floripondy. [a. Sp. floripondio, ad. mod.L. floripondium, app. f. L. flōr(i)-, flōs flower + pondus weight.] The Spanish name of two Peruvian species of datura or thorn-apple, D. arborea and D. sanguinea.
