trigeminal, a. (n.) Anat.|traɪˈdʒɛmɪnəl| [f. L. trigemin-us born three at a birth (see below) + -al1.] A name for the fifth pair of cranial nerves, from their dividing into three branches: also called trifacial. Also absol. as n.
