‖ Trigynia Bot.|traɪˈdʒɪnɪə| [mod.L. (Linnæus), f. tri- + Gr. γυνή woman, taken as = female organ, pistil.] An order in many classes of the Linnæan System, comprising plants having three pistils. Hence ˈtrigyn, a plant of the order Trigynia; triˈgynian, triˈgynious adjs., of or belonging to the order Trigynia; trigynous |ˈtrɪdʒɪnəs| a., having three pistils.
