▪ I. galipot|ˈgælɪpɒt| Also gallipot. [a. F. galipot, galipo, of unknown origin, perhaps connected with OF. garipot, a species of pine-tree. But cf. Littré Suppl.] The turpentine or resin which exudes from, and hardens upon, the stem of certain pines.
