‖ gayal|ˈgeɪəl, gaˈjal| Also 9 gayall, guyal, g(h)yal. [Hindi gayāl.] A semi-domesticated kind of ox common in Burmah, Assam, and Bengal; by some believed to be a variety of the gaur; by others regarded as a distinct species (Bibos frontalis).
