gedackt, gedact|gəˈdakt| Also gedeckt. [G. gedackt, old pa. pple. of decken to cover.] An organ flue-stop having its pipes closed at the top. So gedackt-work [G. gedacktwerk], such stops collectively; lieblich gedackt (see quot. 1938).
