typhonic, a.|taɪˈfɒnɪk| [ad. Gr. τῡϕωνικός, f. τῡϕῶν: see Typhon1 and -ic.] 1. Having the character of a whirlwind or tornado; tempestuous. (In quots. in allusion to Gr. τυϕωνικός in Acts xxvii. 14.)
