glutelin Biochem.|ˈgl(j)uːtəlɪn| [f. gluten + -lin, perh. after globulin.] Any of a group of simple proteins all characteristically soluble in dilute acids and alkalis but insoluble in neutral saline solutions and found esp. in seeds.
