grass tetany [ad. G. grastetanie (Sjollema & Seekles 1930, in Biochem. Zeitschr. CCXXIX. 358).] A disease in cattle caused by magnesium deficiency, occurring esp. when there is a change of diet such as from indoor feeding to outdoor grazing.
