ˈunderfill, n. Metallurgy. [f. under-1 10 b, after overfill n.] The condition of there being insufficient metal to fill the aperture between rolls, the impression of a die, etc., so that the desired shape is not taken; a bar or the like that is too small for the rolling it is to undergo.
