Haflinger, n.|ˈhæflɪŋə(r)| Also Hafflinger. [a. G. Haflinger, f. the name of Hafling, the village in the Tyrol where the breed originated: see -er1.] A breed of sturdy, chestnut-coloured draught-horses originally developed in Austria; a horse of this breed.
