Red Fed N.Z. colloq.|ˈrɛd fɛd| Also redfed. [f. red a. 9 b + federation.] A member of the Federation of Labour (founded 1909); now gen., one who rebels against the established order, a left-winger. Hence ˈRed-Fed-ism.
