hanepoot S. Afr.|ˈhaːnəˌpoːt, -ˌpoət| Also haanepoot, haanepot, haenapod, hanapoot, and (corruptly) honeypot. [Afrikaans, f. Du. haan cock + poot foot.] 1. The grape-variety Muscat of Alexandria, a table grape often also used for making wine and for raisins.
