II. Special Combs. Hawaiian goose, a rare bird, Branta sandvicensis, formerly called the Sandwich Island goose; Hawaiian guitar, a type of guitar, usually held in a horizontal position, in which the pitch is obtained by placing a small metal bar on the strings and moving it up and down to produce glissando effects; hence Hawaiian guitarist, Hawaiian orchestra; Hawaiian (or Hawaii) shirt, a highly coloured and gaily patterned shirt.
