Hawaiian, a. and n.|həˈwaɪən| Also Hawaian. [f. Hawaii + -an.] A. adj. Of or pertaining to the island of Hawaii, or to the whole group of the Sandwich Islands in the North Pacific. B. n. 1. A native or inhabitant of Hawaii. 2. The language of Hawaii, belonging to the Malayo-Polynesian group.
