helmitol|ˈhɛlmɪtɒl| [a. G. helmitol (E. Eichengrün 1902, in Pharm. Zeitschr. XLVII. 866/2).] A proprietary name of a derivative of hexamethylenetetramine that has been used as a urinary antiseptic and in the treatment of rheumatism.
