A unit, monad (in the Platonic philosophy).
1678Cudworth Intell. Syst. i. iv. §36. 556 One Goodness, Many Goodnesses, and one Vnity or Henade, Many Henades. Ibid. 626 That there must be a single Monad or Henad, standing alone by itself. 1792J. Taylor tr. Proclus II. 267 There must be an order of Henades prior to that of intellects.
