herola|hɛˈrəʊlə| Also hirola. [Galla name.] A small, rare antelope, Damaliscus hunteri, native to Kenya and Somalia, and more frequently called Hunter's hartebeest.

II. 22/2 In Damaliscus, the bastard hartebeeste,..the horns arise directly from the head. The hirola or Hunter's hartebeeste (D. hunteri) has a white chevronlike marking on the forehead; it is found only on the north side of Tana valley in Jubaland, east Africa. |
