hevea Bot.|ˈhiːviːə| [mod.L., f. native name hevé (F. Aublet, Histoire des Plantes de la Guiane Françoise (1775) II. 871).] A South American tree of the genus so called, belonging to the family Euphorbiaceæ, and having milky sap which provides rubber.
