hexahedron Geom. and Cryst.|hɛksəˈhiːdrən, -ˈhɛdrən| Also 6–7 hexaedron, 7–8 -um. [neut. sing. of Gr. ἑξάεδρος, f. ἕξ six + ἕδρα seat, base. Cf. F. hexaèdre.] A solid figure having six faces; esp. the regular hexahedron or cube.
