allophyle, n. and a. rare.|ˈæləʊfɪl| [ad. L. allophȳl-us, a. Gr. ἀλλόϕῡλ-ος of another tribe, alien, f. ἄλλος other, different + ϕῡλή tribe.] 1. An alien; a Philistine.
