urobilinogen Biochem.|ˌjʊərəʊbaɪˈlɪnədʒən| [f. prec. + -ogen.] Any of a group of colourless tetrapyrrole compounds produced by the reduction of bilirubin, esp. by bacterial action in the gut, and forming urobilin upon subsequent oxidation.
