hyocholic, a. Chem.|haɪəʊˈkɒlɪk| [f. Gr. ὗς, ὑο- swine + χολή bile: see cholic a.] In hyocholic acid, formerly a synonym of hyoglycocholic acid, now applied to an acid (C25H40O4) derived from this by the action of acids and alkalies.
