ˌhæmato-ˈglobulin Chem. [For hæmatino-globulin, f. hæmatin + globulin, as being composed of the two.] The colouring matter of the red corpuscles of the blood; also called hæmatoˈglobin: now usually shortened to hæmoglobin.
