▪ I. refreshing, vbl. n.|rɪˈfrɛʃɪŋ| [f. refresh v. + -ing1.] 1. The action of the vb. in various senses; also, an instance of this; refreshment given or received; the plunging of cooked vegetables, etc., into cold water.
