† inˈcendiate, v. Obs. rare. [f. L. incendi-um conflagration, burning + -ate3 7: cf. mod.F. incendier.] trans. To set fire to, burn, make a fire of. (Affected.) So inˈcendiated ppl. a., set on fire (rare—1); † incendiˈation, conflagration; † inˈcendiator, one who kindles or excites.
