Used in various collocations, as vinho branco, white wine; vinho corrente = vino corriente s.v. vino 1 b; vinho da casa, house wine; vinho de consumo, cheap wine equivalent to vin ordinaire; vinho tinto, red wine; vinho verde [lit. ‘green wine’], young wine that is not allowed to mature.
