ˌcontraharˈmonical, a. Math. [contra- 2.] Opposed or opposite to harmonical. When three numbers are in harmonical progression, then a : c :: a–b : b–c. The reverse of this, viz. a : c :: b–c : a–b is termed contra-harmonical proportion.
