jolley Pottery.|ˈdʒɒlɪ| Also jolly. [Of unknown origin.] A variety of jigger (see jigger n.1 5 a). So ˈjolleying, ˈjollying vbl. n., the act of using a jolley; ˈjollied ppl. a., manufactured by jolley; ˈjollier1, jollyer, one who makes pottery by means of a jolley.
