ˈwhale-ˌfisher [f. whale-fishing: see -er1.] = whaler 1. So ˈwhalefisherman, = whaler 1 and 2; ˈwhale-fishery, (a) the occupation or industry of whale-fishing; (b) a locality where whale-fishing is carried on or where whales abound.
