Capangpang˜an is attested as the name of the Pampanga province and river in the island of Luzon in a Spanish context in 1732.] A. n. 1. A member of a people of central Luzon island in the Philippines, principally inhabiting its central plain around the Pampanga river. Cf. Pampangan n. 1.
