labroid, a. and n. Ichthyol.|ˈleɪbrɔɪd| [ad. mod.L. Labroidea, f. Labrus, generic name, f. labrum lip: see -oid.] A. adj. Pertaining to the family Labridæ or superfamily Labroidea of acanthopterygian fishes of which the typical genus is Labrus.
