xu, n.|suː| Also su. Pl. xu, su. [a. Vietnamese, ad. F. sou: see sou n.] A monetary unit of Vietnam, equivalent to one hundredth of a dong; a coin of this value. Cf. *hao n. Introduced in Northern Vietnam in 1945 and in Southern Vietnam eight years later, and formally discontinued by 1986.
