† aˈnalie, analy, annaly, v. Obs. Sc. [Apparently formed on L. ali-us other, but actual structure unexplained. It has the appearance of a variant of an earlier *enalie, repr. Fr. *enalier, L. *inali-āre, f. in into, to + alium another. But no such antecedent forms appear.] To alienate, or abalienate.
