‖ Lotophagi, n. pl.|ləʊˈtɒfədʒaɪ| Also 7 -ie. [L., a. Gr. λωτοϕάγοι, f. λωτό-ς lotus + ϕαγεῖν to eat.] The lotus-eaters; a people in Greek legend who lived on the fruit of the lotus, which was said to cause a dreamy forgetfulness in those who ate it.
