lowlight, n. and a.|ˈləʊlaɪt| Also low-light. [f. low a. + light n., after highlight n.] A. n. a. Chiefly Hairdressing. A dark streak in lighter hair, esp. one artificially introduced; occas. an area of relatively dark make-up.
